Senior Manager, Digital Marketing

Our client, a global leader in online retail, is seeking a driven and innovative digital marketing leader to join their team. You must be a results-driven marketing professional who has deep digital expertise and a proven track record in driving strategies to support both net new customer acquisition and customer retention. 

Responsibilities:  

As our client’s expert in performance marketing and member of the marketing leadership team, you will be responsible for leading both the company’s acquisition and retention efforts online. Key responsibilities include:
 
  • Leading and developing the paid marketing, SEO, retention marketing, and email marketing teams
  • Working with internal teams to establish and achieve channel revenue and growth targets; identify key performance trends and insights; and to create strategies to improve and/or accelerate trends
  • Driving the delivery of new online programs for organic business growth
  • Ensuring the brand experience is consistent across all customer touchpoints
  • Engaging, evaluating and managing 3rd party agency and vendors
  • Collaborating with Finance to understand bottom line revenue and margin impact of your marketing strategies
  • Helping team members develop and present business cases for resource or technology investments
  • Participating in organizational budget planning and ensuring the appropriate resources are available to all teams in order to achieve or exceed forecasts
  • Partnering with the executive team to drive resource prioritizations and execution
  • Evaluating team member performance, with ongoing recommendations and decisions on development plans, promotions, compensation changes and hiring
 
Qualifications:  
 
  • 8+ years of experience in consumer marketing, with a deep and broad digital focus (including SEM, email, display, social, affiliate, mobile)
  • Prior experience in directly managing teams of 5+ members, and in coaching and developing leaders
  • Proven success in managing acquisition and/or retention marketing programs
  • Prior budget management experience, including accountability for planning, setting forecasts and monitoring performance for significantly sized budget
  • Knowledgeable in bringing brand strategies to life through digital marketing
  • Proven strong negotiation and collaboration skills
  • Ability to influence e cross-functional teams and programs
  • Online retail experience a strong asset
