Manager, Brand and Marketing– Whistler Water

Our client, Whistler Water, is seeking an experienced brand builder and hands-on marketing communications leader to help elevate its premium bottled water brand to support global adoption and growth. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a differentiated brand strategy and associated programs to drive brand awareness, engagement and adoption across all channels. Key Responsibilities

As the company’s marketing communications leader and brand champion, you will be responsible for:
 
  • Brand development: Create an authentic, relevant and differentiated brand identity for Whistler Water
  • Brand awareness: Develop creative, grassroots campaigns that drive brand awareness, experience and engagement across all channels (ex. web, social, email and retail)
  • Brand consistency: Ensure the Whistler Water brand story is consistently portrayed across all channels, customer touchpoints and both local and export markets (ex. USA, Asia); collaborate with the leadership team to ensure corporate initiatives support the overall brand promise; establish a global style guide and ensure all collateral (including packaging) meets this standard
  • Content and digital marketing: Support the development and curation of creative and engaging digital content and the management of the company’s website and social media channels
  • Events and Sponsorships: Define, implement and support a community events and sponsorship strategy
  • Leadership: Coach and mentor a creative specialist; engage and inspire the organization around the brand vision, position and strategies
  • Analysis: Monitor customer, competitive and overall market trends, as well as program performance and refine future strategies/tactics accordingly
  • Marketing investment: Ensure all opportunities for provincial, federal and private sector funding of marketing programs are sourced and integrated into the overall brand marketing plan


Qualifications
 
  • 8+ years of marketing experience in consumer marketing or communications
  • Proven experience in building a consumer brand
  • Creative digital marketing expertise in driving brand awareness and engagement online
  • Entrepreneurial, solutions-focused mindset, with the proven ability quickly adapt to changing business needs
  • Past start-up or fast growth company experience an asset
