Our Toronto-based client, one of Canada’s fastest growing agencies focused in experiential marketing, is searching for a #StandApart Sr. Account Manager to manage large to medium size client accounts and provides strategic direction to clients with senior support.

We’re looking for someone who has excellent client management skills and experience organizing national tours. Oh, and personality is important too – warm fuzzies all around!

Your Day-to-Day

Account leadership:
  • Manage accounts alone, or in collaboration with senior colleagues
  • Understand client’s business and competitive landscape
  • Assist in developing strategy, KPI’s and account plans
  • Lead account teams on mid-size accounts
  • Develop budgets for a variety of clients and programs / strict oversight of budgeting progression
  • Oversee timely and detailed invoicing / overall account monitoring

Staff management:
  • Actively mentor Account Managers and Account Coordinators
  • Recommend and support skills training for team members

New business / account growth:
  • Build growing annual revenue
  • Seek opportunities to grow existing business on a daily basis via existing accounts
  • Maintain and nurture client relationships
  • Strong presentation skills

Client reporting:
  • Manage the flow of information and feedback with client contact
  • Responsible for the timely and meaningful assembly of all reports

  • Travel to event locations for first-hand observations, team coaching, client management
  • 4-8 years’ experience of relevant industry or agency experience
  • College or university degree or equivalent (Business, Marketing, Sport & Event Marketing, Sponsorship)
  • Demonstrated mastery of the Account Manager role and account management
  • Proven strong strategic thinker and account leader – demonstrates sound judgment
  • Solid project management and client relationship skills
  • Creative in ideas, account solutions and strategic “out-of-the-box” thinking
  • Proven track record of managing a multitude of tasks, deadlines and clients
  • Solid understanding of the experiential marketing industry and latest trends
  • Ability to lead, mentor and motivate account teams
  • Professional, can-do attitude

  • Resourceful / problem solver
  • Solid understanding of social media tactics and their potential application
