Marketing Specialist: Customer Analytics & Insights (3 positions)

Our client, a large established BC organization, is seeking three specialists with experience in customer marketing, email marketing and customer relationship management (CRM) to join its top talent Marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team where customer development and loyalty are key strategic areas of focus for the organization.

Position Overview
As an in-house customer insights and email marketing expert, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and refining targeted marketing strategies that drive customer retention and growth. This includes utilizing key customer data from the CRM (Salesforce) to develop integrated online campaigns (email, mobile, web and social) that increase customer visits, average spend, and loyalty program participation.  This is a multi-faceted, hands-on marketing position that requires strong operational, project management, analytical, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
 
  • Report on and share key customer and with internal stakeholders in order to develop and recommend targeted marketing programs
  • Execute on targeted direct marketing programs (via a Marketing automation platform) ensuring programs reinforce brand positioning, employ CRM best practices, and are executed within budget and deliver against objectives.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholder groups on the development and execution of targeted customer marketing programs, ensuring alignment with program objectives, product strategies, brand positioning, CRM best practices, budgets and objectives
  • Analyze and optimize campaigns, communicating key insights and results to stakeholders
  • Proactively work with Market Research to analyze CRM data and monitor market trends to identify opportunities to acquire and develop customers
  • Collaborate with peers and make regular recommendations for new approaches and best practices for email and mobile marketing
  • Develop compelling landing pages that drive strong results
  • Provide input into the development of annual strategic programs that support customer retention and growth


Qualifications
 
  • A degree or diploma in a marketing or business discipline
  • 4+ years of recent experience in database marketing, email marketing or customer marketing
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with a CRM and marketing automation platform (ex. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Hubspot, Eloqua, Pardot, Marketo, etc.)
  • Understanding of 1:1 (one-to-one) marketing concepts and best practices
  • Demonstrated experience in developing post evaluation insights that lead to future program iterations
  • Demonstrated experience in the implementation of marketing campaigns in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment and across multiple online channels (social media, mobile, email and web)
  • Landing page design and mobile marketing experience are both strong assets
  • Prior experience in working with agencies to deliver campaigns an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Highly proactive and self-motivated, able to work effectively in ambiguous situation
  • Solid business acumen with the ability to analyze business situations and develop creative solution
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to navigate cross-functional teams
