Smart, Savvy + Associates has partnered with our client, an online gaming business, in their search for a Director of Social Media & Community Engagement. This role leads the vision and strategy for social media and community engagement, and also provides leadership to the player experience team. About the role:
  • Lead overall vision and operations of user experience
  • Initiate and develop innovative social media campaigns with different drivers, such as influencer, content, advocate, etc.
  • Build and develop junior team members; create staff schedules according to need/volume
  • Maintain focus on user experience, with success demonstrated through satisfaction ratings
  • Engage with community to get feedback; make presentations for producers and game designers; create reports for studio partners
  • Manage department budget and monitor financial goal progress
  • Develop presentations to external partners, in collaboration with the managing director

About you:
  • 5+ years’ experience in social media marketing/content development and strategy
  • 2+ years’ experience in a leadership role
  • Extensive experience with social media marketing on several platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitch, etc.
  • Ability to develop content strategy and tactical plans
  • Excellent communication skills to work at all levels of the organization and with external partners/clients
  • Experience in evaluating and improving efficiency of current systems/processes
