Director of Social Media & Community Engagement

Smart, Savvy + Associates has partnered with our client, an online gaming business, in their search for a Director of Social Media & Community Engagement. This role leads the vision and strategy for social media and community engagement, and also provides leadership to the player experience team. If you are an experienced team leader, are innovative, creative, and strategic in your online strategies and tactics, and you love the gaming industry, consider applying for this role!

About the role:
 
  • Lead overall vision and operations of user experience
  • Initiate and develop innovative social media campaigns with different drivers, such as influencer, content, advocate, etc.
  • Build and develop junior team members; create staff schedules according to need/volume
  • Maintain focus on user experience, with success demonstrated through satisfaction ratings
  • Engage with community to get feedback; make presentations for producers and game designers; create reports for studio partners
  • Manage department budget and monitor financial goal progress
  • Develop presentations to external partners, in collaboration with the managing director


About you:
 
  • 5+ years’ experience in social media marketing/content development and strategy
  • 2+ years’ experience in a leadership role
  • Extensive experience with social media marketing on several platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitch, etc.
  • Ability to develop content strategy and tactical plans
  • Excellent communication skills to work at all levels of the organization and with external partners/clients
  • Experience in evaluating and improving efficiency of current systems/processes
