Senior Marketing Manager

Smart, Savvy + Associates has partnered with our client, Roper Greyell, in their search for a Senior Marketing Manager. This role reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for all marketing and business development activities to support the Firm’s workplace law practice across Western Canada. About the role:

The Senior Marketing Manager holds responsibility for both business development strategy and all activity related to marketing and communications. Main areas of focus include:

Business Development:
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term business development strategies that encompass all areas of firm growth/expansion
  • Support the development and execution of individual lawyer marketing and business development plans
  • Identify new markets and provide relevant research and strategic ideas to acquire new business
  • Liaise, collaborate, and create request of proposals and all other business development collateral, including all ranking and award applications
  • Develop and maintain business development and marketing budget


Marketing:
  • Proactively prepare and manage communications, both external and internal as required
  • Define, oversee, and direct standards, guidelines and policies related to the application and use of the RG brand both internally and externally
  • Design and execute all creative strategies in line with RG brand and the Firm’s strategic plan
  • Develop and oversee the strategy and content development/management of the Firm’s marketing channels
  • Develop, design and distribute all external print, multi-media, and electronic collateral
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of firm sponsorships including ROI evaluation and strategic recommendations
  • Develop and execute all client-facing events


About you:
 
  • 5+ years’ marketing experience at a senior/manager level, ideally in a professional services setting
  • Post-secondary education in marketing or a related discipline
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to persuade and inform with diplomacy and tact
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of an organization
  • Skilled in project management with focus on details, timelines, and confidence to lead and deliver results in collaboration with others
