Motion Industries Canada is a BIG company. And, they’re part of an even BIGGER one. Together they serve the industrial marketplace with MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) replacement parts and services through a network of over 550 locations across North America (to the tune of about $4.5B US).

Alas, their industry, like every other, is undergoing some change. Although it’s not rapid change, it’s change none-the-less and the leadership team at Motion Canada is prepared to be proactive. They are committed to getting out in front of change – they’re ready to expand and re-tool for it. The vision is forward thinking – both literally and figuratively, with leaders set to lay a foundation for long-term sustainable growth and success.

That’s where you come in. But only if you’re a strategic business leader with a change agent propensity. The Motion Canada Leadership team is in hot pursuit of a proven business strategist/leader to help identify and develop new business channels, product and service opportunities that are complementary to and/or outside of current core offerings. As a member of their small, entrepreneurial, innovative team, you will identify, evaluate, recommend, pilot, and commercialize potential new strategic ventures for Motion Industries Canada.

This role will be interesting to you if have (a):
  • Successful track record bringing new business initiatives to market (from research to business case to GTM)
  • Proven ability to think critically and strategically
  • Proven ability to support business and budget planning needs
  • Demonstrated tracking and performance planning analysis skills
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and P&L management
  • Demonstrated creative, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills (including the ability to present to Senior Leadership and Executive teams)
  • Outgoing, collaborative disposition (your driven compulsion is offset by your ability not to take yourself too seriously)
  • Track record leading cross-functional teams and projects
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
