Origin is looking for someone who lives and breathes UX and interactive design as much as they do fresh mountain air (skiing, snowboarding, or mountain biking every weekend, of course)! You are a well-rounded individual who is not only digitally savvy and interactively-inclined, but who is also well-versed in branding and traditional channels. You enjoy being hands-on in design, but are comfortable flexing your “direction” muscles. Your analytical mind and background in advertising/marketing allows you to truly understand marketing strategies and implementation that delivers design that “wows” clients and their audiences! With a strong work ethic comparable to none, your creativity is heightened in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. Collaborating on designs and developing multiple stylistic approaches to problems gets your adrenaline pumping, almost as much as hitting the slopes!
About the Opportunity
This role is the perfect combination of important conceptual design, supervisory, and executional responsibilities all wrapped up into one function. As the Design Lead, you will have the unique opportunity to lead but remain hands-on throughout the design process. You will be a valuable contributor of ideas to the creative brainstorming sessions and work collaboratively with the Creative Director, designers, and copywriters throughout the creative development process.
Origin’s head office is in Whistler, BC home of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. And, you have the choice to work remote.
