Senior Manager, Marketing

Smart, Savvy + Associates has partnered with our client, a large workplace law firm in Western Canada, in their search for a Senior Manager, Marketing. This role reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for the firm’s marketing and business development activities. About the role:

The Senior Manager, Marketing holds responsibility for both business development strategy and all activity related to marketing and communications. Main areas of focus include:
 
  • Lead development and delivery of internal and external communications
  • Maintain brand standards guidelines for both internal and external use; ensure brand is accurately reflected in all creative strategy and collateral
  • Build and maintain content strategy and development for all marketing channels
  • Create, design and distribute all external print, multi-media, and digital collateral
  • Manage sponsorship opportunities, providing recommendations based on ROI
  • Plan and deliver all client events
  • Develop and lead business development strategies that encompass all areas of business growth and expansion
  • Support marketing and business development plans for individual lawyers
  • Identify new markets and provide relevant research and strategic ideas to acquire new business
 
About you:
 
  • 5+ years’ marketing experience at a senior/manager level, ideally in a professional services setting
  • Post-secondary education in marketing or a related discipline
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to persuade and inform with diplomacy and tact
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of an organization
  • Skilled in project management with focus on details, timelines, and confidence to lead and deliver results in collaboration with others
