Social Media & Content Specialist

Smart, Savvy + Associates has partnered with our client, Motion Canada, in their search for a Social Media & Content Specialist. This brand-new role with the Communications team will be a key force in establishing and growing the company’s online presence. About the role: 
 
  • Develop, refine, and execute social media marketing campaigns in alignment with brand and business goals  
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to deliver a range of internal communication materials/content (email campaigns, newsletters, presentations, website copy, blogs, articles, Yammer posts) 
  • Build a strong Content Calendar and continually plan for short and long term and generate social media content (original text, images, video) for growth and engagement 
  • Monitor and engage in brand-related online conversations 
  • Analyze metrics, insights and best practices, and provide recommendations for action 
  • Grow your skills and career through business and personal development courses and activities 
  • Share your big ideas, learn from your mistakes, ask for help and lend a hand when needed 

About you: 
 
  • 3+ years’ experience in social media management / content development 
  • Post-secondary education in communications, digital marketing, or a related area 
  • Strong social media skills including content development, SEO, technical prowess 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills  
  • Eager to continuously learn and to partner with others in a highly collaborative sales environment 
  • Strong ability to build and maintain professional relationships with team members, leadership, and external partners.
