Marketing & Event Coordinator

Smart, Savvy + Associates has partnered with our client, a boutique marketing services agency, in their search for a Marketing & Event Coordinator. Located in Delta, BC, this role supports the Product Manager and Project Marketing Manager, and works with both internal teams and external stakeholders. About the role:
 
  • Event support and planning: contract negotiation with venue, vendors, supplies, researching and booking venues and other resources e.g., catering, supplies; manage budget
  • Event planning logistics: registration, internal communication, payments, travel, and event details e.g. name tag printing
  • Production support: work with contractors/vendors to track processes from design through to fulfillment
  • Marketing support: maintain webpages, develop/schedule marketing emails, edit marketing communications (print and digital)
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal team members, external vendors and contractors
  • Generate regular reports and create documentation for processes/support


About you:
 
  • 3+ years’ experience in events marketing
  • Post-secondary education in Marketing or related discipline
  • Results-oriented, thrives in an environment that is fast-paced with lots of moving parts, agile in responding to changing directions and priorities
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills, with confidence to interact at all levels of an organization and with external stakeholders and vendors
  • Detail-oriented, delivers on time and with excellent quality of work
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office; experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Salesforce and Pardot are an asset
  • Experience and passion for working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Post-Secondary education in Marketing or related discipline
  • Proven ability to lead and manage people
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
