Smart Savvy + Associates has partnered with our client, a leading brand and design consultancy with international scope spanning 90+ countries, in their search for an Art Director. This role reports to the Creative Director and works alongside some of Vancouver’s top talent in their Downtown office. If you’re a conceptual thinker who is both creative and professional and can demonstrate true artistic ability, this may be your next role!

About the role:
  • Work directly with clients to understand communication needs, and plan/execute creative strategy from concept and development, budget, time frame, production
  • Develops materials using traditional and digital tools (e.g. image processing layout, design software)
  • Responsible for end product creation through production processes

About you:
  • Post-secondary education in graphic arts
  • 3+ years’ experience in an advertising or marketing agency/role
  • Diverse portfolio of work demonstrating range of artistic and strategic skills
  • Hands-on experience in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop); preferred experience with Sketch, InVision
  • Conceptual thinker, demonstrable experience applying strategy to a range of mediums

Online Screening

If we've contacted you with an opportunity that you're interested in pursuing, we'll put you through a screening process called the Online Career Profile. It's an online questionnaire that allows us to get to know you more in-depth: what you've achieved, where you want to go, your views on corporate culture. It takes about an hour to complete, but we promise the investment will be worth the return so we can find you a perfect match.


We then meet face-to-face with you to flush out your OCP further and get to know you on a personal level. If following this both parties see a great fit for the role in mind, we then introduce you to our client to go through their interview and hiring process.
