Marketing Director

Smart, Savvy + Associates has partnered with our client, an established, Vancouver-based company that sells and distributes products for sustainable living, in their search for a Marketing Director. This key team member delivers daily value in all aspects of channel marketing activity, working closely with the sales team who serve clients across North America. If you excel at developing marketing programs designed to build business and achieve sales targets and profit growth, this could be your next role!

About the role:
 
  • Accountable for the development, execution and evaluation of all channel marketing activity, with a focus on commercializing sales and marketing programs, and delivering results through increased sales and profits
  • Lead digital advertising, including budgets, agency relationships and market research
  • Responsible for e-commerce platforms, affiliate marketing channels, and conversion rates for landing pages; monitor website performance, including user experience, and create reports for executive
  • Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team including social media, creative, and content
  • Develop effective relationships with inside and outside sales teams, outside agencies, social media influencers
  • Lead multiple marketing initiatives at the same time, including ongoing campaigns, special projects, events and trade show promotions.


About you:
 
  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing, including print, digital and retail
  • Post-secondary education in a related area
  • Experienced in using data to develop strategy, launch new products and plan/execute campaign calendars
  • Accomplished event planning skills for trade shows
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to develop relationship at all levels of an organization, as well as with external stakeholders and customers
  • Able to travel internationally as required (trade shows, meetings, etc.)
  • Knowledge and commitment to environmentally aware, sustainable outdoor activities and lifestyle
  • Required software experience: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Microsoft Office (Excel), Mailchimp, social media platforms, MailChimp
