Manager, Brand & Marketing Communications (1-year contract)

Smart, Savvy + Associates is excited to partner with our client, a successful and highly recognized business in the travel industry, in their search for a Manager, Brand & Marketing Communications. The one-year contract role will provide excellent coverage for a maternity leave, and is located in Vancouver. About the Role:
 
  • Annual promotion strategy – develop strategies and an annual calendar to support revenue targets, work with cross-functional teams to achieve results.
  • Collateral production – manage creative agency relationships, and work with various stakeholders across the organization to develop best in class marketing materials, onboard collateral, signage, etc.
  • Budget management – this role oversees a significant budget. An ability to reconcile and forecast spend on a monthly basis is critical.
  • Project management – lead marketing projects from planning to execution, including timeline, scope and budget, development of project teams, support cross-functional collaboration.
  • Team leadership – lead the teams responsible for delivery of all branded materials, production of the annual sales brochure, special projects to support both internal and external initiatives.
 
About You: 
 
  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications or Business
  • 8+ years in marketing or advertising, using both digital and traditional channels
  • 4+ years in leadership and individual / team development
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentations, with creative experience from writing briefs through to developing promotions
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with experience managing complex budgets
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects, staying on timeline and achieving desired outcomes
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Proven experience building strong relationships internally and externally
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Able to travel outside of Canada (if required)
