Business Development Executive

You’re a natural networker, and accept event invites with excitement over connections to be made, and opportunities to share your company’s story. You see cold calling as the opportunity to influence and educate. The role of Business Development Executive will benefit from your entrepreneurial mindset, outbound sales experience, and experience/interest in investments or financial services.

Smart, Savvy + Associates is excited to partner with its client, a leader in a niche investment market, in its search for an Business Development Executive. Working with the company’s development-focused management team, this sales role supports business growth by building relationships with potential investors. About the Role
 
  • Initiate, develop and foster a network of institutional investors through cold calling and following up on referrals
  • Influence and educate investors on the investment opportunity available through Sandstorm
  • Develop, plan and execute effective sales and conversion plans
  • Plan and organize personal sales strategy
 
About You

The Basics:
  • Post-secondary education
  • 3+ years of outbound sales experience, preferably in the investment/financial services industry
  • An entrepreneurial mindset; self-motivated with a strong work ethic and committed to growth
  • Aware of the value of hard work vs. quick wins; invests time to build a successful business
  • Team player with highly effective interpersonal skills; able to develop long-term relationships with investors and potential investors and peers.
  • Manages multiple priorities with excellent time management, creativity, and strategic thinking.
 
How you’ll #StandApart:
  • B2B sales experience
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or Investment Knowledge

Interview

We then meet face-to-face with you to flush out your OCP further and get to know you on a personal level. If following this both parties see a great fit for the role in mind, we then introduce you to our client to go through their interview and hiring process.
