Web Analytics Analyst (Marketing)

Smart, Savvy and Associates is excited to be partnering with a digital agency in Bellingham, Washington focused on healthcare and technology brands in their search for a #StandApart Web Analytics Analyst. This role is a 3-month contract position, with the possibility of turning into a permanent full-time opportunity. Our client is open to someone working in Bellingham or remote.

You:

You must have an avid interest in data, measurement, and more data. You view spreadsheets as the key to discovering the nuts and bolts of what, when and why users do what they do. Then you dig in even deeper and use that data to create opportunities for continual optimization of user success and experience.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Work in collaboration with the team to understand our clients’ businesses, products, the overall market and their current needs
  • Maintain regular contact with web, email and digital media metrics to identify what’s working/not working, trends, opportunities, etc.
  • Provide client-facing reports and dashboards, including graphics to support data visualization and data-based key insights. Prepare and present formal presentations to clients.
  • Analyze and test all measured data to ensure its integrity; use findings to identify optimization opportunities and prepare recommendations in line with business objectives
  • Work collaboratively with the marketing team on key performance indicators and attribution models, and utilize same to develop an analytics strategy that can be achieved through custom code and tagging mechanisms (as required), along with measurements of success
  • Understand and recommend integration methods with 3rd party data sources (e.g. CRM)
  • Normalize data from analytics software, databases, etc. for consistency
 
Requirements:
 
  • 5+ years’ experience working hands-on in web analytics, and 3+ years’ in analytics for website, email and digital media. Agency experience a plus.
  • Strong technical skills and a solid understanding of digital marketing, web technologies, social media, mobile.
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of talents and personalities while juggling multiple projects all at once, including the smallest details.
  • Dynamic presenting style; comfortable with public speaking opportunities.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools and their data analysis components, such as Marketo, Salesforce, HubSpot, Adobe Campaign. Experience with Tableau, or other visualization tools is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Business, Marketing or other related field
