Social Media Specialist

Our client, a large established BC organization, is seeking a Social Media Specialist with experience in developing, optimizing, and nurturing social media channels.

You are an outgoing relationship builder, with a master of creating rich & engaging video and graphical content. You are just as comfortable marketing content as you are with producing it (and you have a few samples to prove it). Your role will centre around making sure people fall in love with the brand through masterfully executed content strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manages multiple social media communities, programs, and campaigns across various platforms
  • Develops engaging, relevant, and varied content
  • Effective at communication in long and short form content - and proficient in visual design
  • Customer service expert
  • Reporting and Analytics

  • A university degree in a related discipline such as design, marketing, or communications
  • 3 - 5 years of related experience
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered

Technical Skills
  • Demonstrate experience in social media and content marketing
  • Excellent relationship skills, highly collaborative
  • Expert with social media and web analytics tools (i.e. Hootsuite, Social Studio, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, and Google Analytics)

Online Screening

If we've contacted you with an opportunity that you're interested in pursuing, we'll put you through a screening process called the Online Career Profile. It's an online questionnaire that allows us to get to know you more in-depth: what you've achieved, where you want to go, your views on corporate culture. It takes about an hour to complete, but we promise the investment will be worth the return so we can find you a perfect match.


We then meet face-to-face with you to flush out your OCP further and get to know you on a personal level. If following this both parties see a great fit for the role in mind, we then introduce you to our client to go through their interview and hiring process.
